Your opinions
We want to hear from you - about anything you want to say, and especially anything you want to say about Vauxhall. Each issue, our star letter wins a bottle of Champagne Victor - the bubbly that VXRacing's BTCC race winners spray from the podium!
ASTRA WITH EXTRAS
I've been driving (company) Vauxhalls since 2003, starting with a Vectra 2.2d Elite - which I found very comfortable, especially on long journeys - although my wife found it a little too large.
I now have an Astra Design 1.9CDTi, to which I've added a few extras - including sunroof, and Adaptive lights, which are great (although when I'm driving our second car at night I keep wondering whether its lights are actually switched on!). The Astra also takes long journeys in its stride, and when you consider it's only a foot shorter than a Vectra, it shouldn't really be a surprise. I'll probably buy it from the company - with the extras I've chosen, it's pretty unique, and I don't suppose not many people have spent nearly £21,000 on an Astra!

PERFORMANCE AND MORE
It's good to see with the latest VXR models that Vauxhall still knows how to make cars with performance and personality - something others have started to lose touch with.
Without being over-the-top, the Corsa VXR and the fantastic VXR8 featured in your last issue (Vhot) hit the nail on the head when it comes to doing what it says on the tin. Or rather saying on the tin what the product does. Because they aren't only hot cars, they look like hot cars that aren't afraid to say so.
And I really believe there's nothing wrong with quick cars; only with quick cars driven by inconsiderate - or even worse - aggressive drivers. But cars like these VXRs are designed to give you the most important combination you can have in any quick car - not only engine performance but also handling and braking performance - and I'm sure no respectable manufacturer like Vauxhall would have it any other way.
Vauxhall's 'hot' cars have come a long way in recent years, and I'm sure that's because Vauxhall still know how to offer performance for real people.
