When the alarm bells ringWhen the alarm bells ring

be in peak condition at all times to be able to respond to often extremely unpredictable situations.

As Willie adds, 'so we need vehicles that are reliable, and able to cope with the demanding nature of our service. But our Vauxhall vans can cover 200,000 miles without any problems and that's exactly what we need - vehicles we can rely on. In all these years they've never let us down'. And of course the Astravan is one of those perfect tools for the job - ideally suited to transporting spares safely and in good time. Originally introduced in 1982, the Astravan has been a huge success story for Vauxhall. As well as offering levels of comfort and performance more normally found in conventional cars, the Astravan offers all the safety, security, versatility and low running costs that are vital to business users.

Not least for Emergency One, the Astravan also offers performance on a par with similarly sized compact hatches, so the service team can travel the length and breadth of the UK both quickly and in real comfort.

Of course, should Strathclyde Fire Brigade in Cumnock need spare parts or service, they know a speedy response won't be an issue. After all, they are literally just down the road from Emergency One, and that short trip shouldn't trouble those tough Vauxhall vans too much at all. But from everything else Willie says about Vauxhall in general and Astravan in particular, covering the length and breadth of the UK doesn't sound any more unexpected alarms either. They already hear enough of those to keep the fleet as busy as they want it to be.
