Astra is already Vauxhall's bestselling model range, but for 2007, Astra is even better - with the introduction of a new exciting range of engines and some stylish additions to its design.
The 2007 Astra range features new front and rear light lenses, revised front bumpers, and extra chrome detailing on the grille. Some trim levels include smart piano-black or matt chrome interior detailing - while Sport Hatch models get a new honeycomb-style front grille to mark them out even more distinctively.
The biggest changes are under the bonnet. Two state-of-the-art engines that offer significant fuel economy and CO2 emissions benefits, as well as increased performance.
There's the option of a new, more powerful 1.6-litre turbo engine, to replace the 170PS 2.0-litre Turbo. Offered in Sport Hatch, five-door and estate Astras, it has a punchy 180PS and an impressive 230Nm of torque. It gives the Sport Hatch the power to sprint from 0-60mph in just 7.7 seconds, with a top speed of 139mph - making it quicker than the outgoing 2.0-litre car.
