WHEN YOU DRIVE A VAUXHALL, WE LIKE TO THINK OF YOU AS PART OF THE EXTENDED VAUXHALL FAMILY - AND LIKE ANY FAMILY, THERE'S A LOT TO BE SAID FOR STAYING IN TOUCH. NOW THAT'S MUCH EASIER.
As a reader of V magazine, you clearly have an interest in Vauxhall – and we’re interested in you – in what you think, what you like to do, and how we can make your motoring life easy, enjoyable and affordable. But we want to give you something extra: another way to keep in touch.
So now we have created the Vauxhall Drivers’ Centre – a totally new, highly interactive website designed specifically for Vauxhall customers to help you get the most out of your Vauxhall. You can hear how others see Vauxhall, too, with regular blogs from people on the inside looking out (including top executives), and people on the outside looking in (from owners to celebrities). It’s guaranteed never to be dull, and always to have an opinion or three. Registering is quick and free – just follow the instructions below.
In fact, with its mixture of information and offers, games and magazine-style features, it’s the perfect place not only to find answers to your questions, but to save money, kick a virtual football around or be inspired and plan for your next trip.
The Centre’s super-detailed Journey Planner allows you to find the quickest (or shortest) route, and also suggests places of interest, eateries and hotels along the way. It even tells you where to find the cheapest fuel – and this cost-cutting information is updated daily. TrafficNet lets you see in advance where any major delays are occurring, so you can plan a way around rather than sitting needlessly in avoidable jams. Just enter your destination (as an address or postcode) and the system does the rest, with clear maps and printable, turn-by-turn instructions.
If you’re looking for action or entertainment, the Centre’s calendar has all the information you need on what, when and where; and of course, you’ll never miss anything with a Vauxhall flavour, from VXRacing’s next BTCC outing to the MPH Show featuring Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond.
Our Question and Answer section covers commonly asked queries, specific questions on anything Vauxhall or motoring-related or you can answer other people’s questions too.
You’ll find unique offers, from special rates on car (even van) rental, to discounts on accessories and VX Racing merchandise – so you could spend less on your roof box, child seats, or VXR jacket.
Our V Magazine Xtra section is another way to access some of our most exciting features – in some cases with video coverage – plus the option to download what interests you most, and to contact the magazine with your comments. And if you’re staying at home, the Vauxhall Drivers’ Centre still has plenty to offer, including interactive games and prize competitions, plus a huge variety of offers.
Try your luck at putting the football in the back of the net and you could your name on the leaderboard – in settings from the 1930s through to the present-day. You might prefer Corsa Seek: navigate a city maze to find hidden Corsas – again with the chance to take on other players. And if motor sport is your passion, the Fun & Games section can take you into the VXR Sports Drivers’ of the Year competition.
So be among the first to log-on and join us; we’re pretty sure that you’ll soon be telling others exactly what this new, interactive Vauxhall Driver’s Centre has to offer.
And remember, now that it’s opened its doors, the Centre can develop into anything you want it to be.
Until 31st December 2007 the Centre is also accessible to non-Vauxhall owners.
Just visit www.vauxhalldriverscentre.co.uk, follow the instructions and enter the registration plate DE51 RED. It will take seconds, but keep you involved for hours.
