The answer came as we drove into the Place des Lices. A chirpy thumbs up from a funky looking guy in a far more expensive car triggered a swell of satisfaction.

So having parked the Tigra at the intimate Hotel Les Palmiers on the Place des Lices, I head back into town and settle down to an early evening glass of wine. A superb risotto follows, at the Table Du Marche, before dizzy with the sights, sounds, smells and memories of the last few days, I head back to get some sleep.
