I leave Lo to inspect the fascinating objects in the room and start to note that there are some common themes here. Organic shapes predominate, with plants, marine creatures, birds, layers of rock and even a teardrop all listed as influences.

Antony Lo
Director of Advanced Design for GM Europe since 2004, Lo was born in Hong Kong in 1964 where he studied Industrial Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University before gaining an MA in Vehicle Design from London’s Royal College of Art. Before joining General Motors, he served as chief designer at DaimlerChrysler’s Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design operation. Recent concept cars include the award-winning 2007 Vauxhall Flextreme and the 2008 Vauxhall Meriva Concept.
