2K bangers for cash

Want to turn your old car or van into cash? The Chancellor’s £2,000 scrappage subsidy announcement is great news for British motorists, and we are right behind it. If your vehicle is aged 10 years or over, let Vauxhall recycle it and you can get £2,000 towards a new car or van from Vauxhall and the Government. Even better, for a limited period there are special savings on selected models, making buying a new Vauxhall even more affordable.

The £2000 Government Scrappage Allowance towards a new car or commercial is offered on condition that the traded-in vehicle has been registered on or before 31st August 1999 and has been registered in the name of the new car buyer for at least one year. The registration document must also show the current name and address of the new car buyer. A valid MOT, as well as current road tax and insurance, must also be presented to the participating retailer.

All vehicles will be scrapped (and recycled) in accordance with Vauxhall’s end-of-life policy. A certificate of destruction will be issued against every vehicle scrapped under this programme.

Wheely useful

If manners maketh the man, then wheels maketh the car – there really is no more cost effective way to add some visual excitement to your Vauxhall than with the addition of a set of new alloys for some added pizzazz. And you can stand apart from the crowd with either of these two designs…

15-inch alloy wheels: priced at £369 for a set of four excluding tyres, the five, twin-spoke design is perfect for your Corsa.

16-inch alloy wheels: priced at £419 for a set of four excluding tyres, this seven, twin-spoke design (pictured above) will beef up any Astra, Meriva or Zafira.

Just two of a wide range of sizes and designs available from your Vauxhall retailer.

Play Safe

You’re bound to be out and about more during the summer, so it makes sense to be as safe as possible on the road. That’s where the Safety Pack comes in. It includes a first-aid kit, warning triangle and hi visibility vest to keep you safe, seen and in compliance with EU law. It usually costs £24.99 – but it’s yours FREE when you have a Summer Safety Check and Top Up, carried out at participating Vauxhall MasterFit retailers for just £35.
